The Constitution of Zania

The Supreme Law of Our Nation

Preamble

We, the citizens of Zania, in order to establish a just and prosperous society, do hereby ordain and establish this Constitution for our Micronation. We aim to promote unity, peace, and the well-being of all our citizens, ensuring that the rights and freedoms of individuals are protected and upheld.

Article I: Name and Purpose

Section 1: Name

The official name of our Micronation shall be Zania.

Section 2: Purpose

The purpose of Zania is to create a harmonious and progressive society that values freedom, innovation, and the well-being of its citizens.

Article II: Citizenship

Section 1: Eligibility

Any individual who wishes to become a citizen of Zania must pledge allegiance to Zania and agree to abide by its laws and Constitution.

Section 2: Rights of Citizens

Citizens of Zania shall have the right to:

  • Freedom of speech and expression
  • Freedom of assembly and association
  • Freedom of religion
  • Equal protection under the law
  • Participate in the governance of Zania
Section 3: Duties of Citizens

Citizens of Zania shall have the duty to:

  • Uphold and respect the laws of Zania
  • Contribute to the welfare of the community
  • Defend Zania if necessary

Article III: Government Structure

Section 1: Executive Branch
  • The Head of State shall be known as the President of Zania.
  • The current President shall serve for life.
  • The President shall have the power to enforce laws, represent Zania in diplomatic matters, and oversee the administration of the government.

Article IV: Laws and Amendments

Section 1: Lawmaking Process
  • The President shall propose laws by directly addressing the citizens with proposals.
  • A law shall be enacted if the majority of citizens vote in favor of it in a simple yes/no vote.
Section 2: Amendments
  • Amendments to this Constitution may be proposed by the President.
  • Proposed amendments must be approved by a majority of the citizens to be passed.

Article V: Rights and Liberties

Section 1: Individual Rights
  • All citizens are entitled to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
  • No citizen shall be subjected to arbitrary arrest or detention.
  • All citizens have the right to a fair trial and due process of law.
Section 2: Social and Economic Rights
  • Citizens have the right to education, healthcare, and social security.
  • The government of Zania shall strive to promote economic opportunities and well-being for all citizens.
Section 3: Currency
  • The official currency of Zania shall be called the Zari (Ƶ).
  • The exchange rate shall be 1 Zari (Ƶ) = 3 USD.
  • The Zari is not backed by any physical commodity or asset.

Article VI: Final Provisions

Section 1: Supremacy of the Constitution

This Constitution shall be the supreme law of Zania. Any laws or actions contrary to this Constitution shall be invalid.

Section 2: Transition and Continuity

Upon adoption of this Constitution, all existing laws and institutions of Zania shall remain in effect unless amended or repealed in accordance with this Constitution.

Section 3: Vote

This Constitution shall take effect immediately upon vote by a majority of the citizens of Zania.
